I was given this book for a honest review. I am in no way affiliated with this author.
The Howling Heart by April Bostic starts out when Paige has a dream about her past. As a New York career woman, she is cerebrating her promotion when she gets the call about her father passing away. When she finds out that he left the cabin that bring back the dreams of the past, she must go. When she arrives she a problem with animals, after enlisting the help of the sheriff in Black River, Colorado, She decides that the city life isn't for her. As she is leaving Black River, a car accident leaves her stranded in the home of the sheriff, and his twin children. Quinn and Riley are ever so careful but when she learns her secret she is ready to leave, only one thing is stopping her. Riley is in love with her. Can Paige over come her fear and stay? Can she give up a career that she has worked so hard to get to stay with him? Can Riley and his love compete with her love of the city?
While the book was good, it was also kinda disappointing. I really enjoyed the plot. The writing style of the author was original and definitely had some unforgettable characters. The way super wolves were portrayed made the entire book a little off to me. Just the little differences in the way all of the other wolves have captured my heart, made this seem more fiction then other shifter books I have read. Although not an entirely great book, it makes it interesting.
