KINETIC
(Book one)

Synopsis:
Being strong is one thing. Being an unlimited source of power is quite another.

Genetically altered by the Organization, Annie Fox takes down criminals CIA-style with her luminary strength. With nothing to mend but her broken heart, she is relentlessly pursued by her boss Derek Lake. Just when Annie is about to give him a chance, her ex-husband unexpectedly comes out of hiding.

A wanted man, Nick Logan is a cold-hearted murderer who is considered enemy number one, and orders are clear: kill on contact. He is more powerful than ever and threatens the lives of those she holds most dear. His plan? Get his hands on Annie and use her Kinetic energy to destroy them all. When Annie finds herself with an opportunity to end him, she pauses, horrified by the scars covering the face she once loved. A split second that will cost her everything . . .

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review free of persuasion from the author or anyone else affiliated with this book.

~~~SPOILER ALERT~~~
They alter DNA in-utero of developing embryos to enhance any dormant abilities these babies may develop as they grow. Why would they do this? Are there ulterior motives lurking in the creators of this process?
I like stories like this. Is this truly fiction or are these ideas in use and we just don't know it? It is possible. There is a lot going on behind the scenes that is handled on a "need to know" basis. Maybe we the people are not in the loop.
Wow! What an action packed story! Getting to know the individuals and what they are capable of is exciting. Annie - the heroine in this book - is a very complex individual as are all of the other characters. Is it a story of good vs evil? Do some have their own agenda? Are people really who you think they are?
This is a tale of supernatural abilities. A story with unexpected twists and turns and a bit of a love story thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed it from the first page to the very last.
I would highly recommend this book! I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
~~~SPOILER ALERT~~~

After reading the first book in the series, I couldn't wait to read this one. This book continues the story of Annie and her friends. Kevin is the main focus in this book. We get to tag along in his adventures.

We follow Kevin through success and defeat, through frustration and confusion, through powerful and powerless, and through adoration and real love.

How sad to realize you love someone when it is too late. How frustrating to come up against others, altered as you have been, and having to fight for what is right. Powers that should be working together are at odds with each other.

Can Kevin make sense of it all. What about when his best friend Ryan changes sides to work with her mother. She has opportunity to kill Kevin but saves him instead. What side is she really on?

What happens when the evil overpowers the good? Do they trade places and the evil become good? Do the good become the rebels?

I couldn't hardly put this book down. When I did, I was always wondering what was going on and what would happen next. This was a great read!! This book leaves the reader hoping the author is already writing the next in the series.

Fantastic job, Ms Anthony!!
